🚨 THE FIRE ALARM IS SCREAMING But everyone ignoring it The US 30-Year Treasury yield just hit 5.2% We've only been here once before July 2007 You remember what happened next? Three months later, the stock market peaked A year after that, Lehman Brothers collapsed and dragged the entire global financial system down with it Same yield. Same setup. And almost nobody is talking about it So why are yields exploding? Two words: inflation's back ➮ CPI at 3.8% ➮ PPI at 6% ➮ Oil above $100 a barrel since the Iran war started Here's the part most people don't get: A bond paying you 5% sounds great - until you realize inflation is eating 3.8% of that return every single year. So investors are doing the only rational thing. They're selling. And that's where it turns dangerous: ➮ Investors sell ➮ Yields rise ➮ Government borrowing gets more expensive ➮ The deficit gets worse ➮ So they flood the market with even more bonds ➮ Which pushes yields higher still It's a loop. America now spends around $1.2 trillion a year just on interest (more than its entire military budget.) And this isn't only a Wall Street problem. The average 30-year mortgage was below 6% before the Iran war. Today it's 6.68%, heading straight for 7%. Don't take my word for it. The smart money is already running: ➮ 62% of global fund managers expect the 30-year yield to hit 6% ➮ Barclays and Citigroup are warning yields could breach 5.5% ➮ BlackRock's head of research is telling clients to dump government bonds entirely When the 30-year hit 5% in 2007, most people ignored it too.
